‘Arís Abhaile’

This collection is inspired by my return home to Ireland after living the fast pace city life. My previous collections have been inspired by my time living in Barcelona. After moving home, I wanted to focus this collection on the natural beauty of Ireland, while using the structural shapes echoed by the architectural city I left behind.

Returning to the familiar beauty of the west of Ireland encouraged me to immerse myself in nature and the countryside at home. The collection consists of contrasting black and lavender, which was inspired by the lavender plants my mother grows in our back garden at home. The paired colours make for a striking and sophisticated combination. Black is a classic and staple colour for the winter wardrobe. Lavender represents calmness and peace, feelings that are captured by the strong sense of nostalgia when returning home. Crisp satin is used to create statement silhouettes and the delicate contrasting soft lavender gives a glamorous luxurious feel, with refined detail.
